Once the hotel in Tokyo, the Imperial is located in the middle of downtown just a short walk to the Imperial Palace. Frank Lloyd Wright's original building survived the 1923 Tokyo Earthquake - but not modernity. Remains of the building are now on display in Meiji Mura outside Nagoya, and the current hotel in Tokyo is modern and deluxe.
