Photos | Images of Japan: Autumn Leaves
Gingko trees with their pale yellow leaves are a common sight in Japan, both in the countryside and even in the major cities, despite the pungent smell of their nuts. Tokyo University's Hongo campus in Bunkyo ward has a famous row of gingko trees as does Aoyama's Icho Namiki street. Showa Kinen Park (Showa Memorial Park) in Tachikawa, western Tokyo, also has a magnificent avenue of gingko trees popular with visitors in the fall. |
