Main Shrine, Shitennoji Temple, Osaka

Shintennoji Temple (四天王寺) in Tennoji south Osaka is one of the first Buddhist temples in Japan founded in 593, if not the first. The Shitenno are the four heavenly kings and the temple was commissioned by Prince Shotoku to honor them.
