The Kobe Port Tower (Tel: 078 391 6751) in Meriken Park in Kobe is an icon of this Kansai port city and makes for a beautiful sight when illuminated at night. The photograph below clearly shows the steel lattice work, which is said to resemble a traditional Japanese drum (tsuzumi).
