Matsumoto Castle (松本城) dates back to 1595 and was constructed by Lord Kazumasa Ishikawa. The black color of Matsumoto Castle gives the castle its nickname "Karasujo" (Crow Castle). This image shows the overlapping wooden eaves of Matsumoto Castle roof.
