Fair stall, Yoiyama Festival, Kyoto

Yoiyama (宵山) is the night before the main procession of floats at the Gion Festival on July 16th in Kyoto. People come traditionally dressed in summer yukata to see the illuminated floats and their treasures. Kyoto's downtown streets are mainly pedestrianized for the evening and people snack and play games at the many temporary stalls set up for the night.
