Design Festa is a two day free-style international art event open to artists from all over the world, both professional and non-professional, to exhibit their creative talent.
Design Festa is the biggest art event in Asia, with approximately 53,000 visitors and 7,000 exhibitors.
Design Festa started in 1994 and as of 2011 has successfully completed 34 events as well as several sub-events.
The Design Festa event features a wide diversity of creative work, including painting, sculpture, design, fashion and installations, as well as multimedia, film-screening, live music, and performance art.
Design Festa is open to any genre as long as it is original work. Design Festa is held twice a year at Tokyo Big Sight, the biggest exhibition space in Japan.

Design Festa Gallery is situated in Harajuku, Tokyo, and is open year-round, except on the Design Festa event weekends.
Instantly recognizable, the stunning gallery building is in itself a work of art, thanks to the contributions of artists who have painted the exterior of the building.
Since the gallery opened in April 1998, it operates with the same original concept as the international art event Design Festa.
The interior features 22 exhibition spaces (12 spaces for Design Festa Gallery WEST & 10 exhibition spaces for Design Festa Gallery EAST) and of various sizes where artists can exhibit their work and network in a unique and stimulating creative environment.
Design Festa Gallery is for all artists from all over the world, both professional and non-professional, to show their original works. It is the ideal place for artists and art lovers to enjoy unique creations!
