Sound of Music Coming from a Cafe near Ryoanji Temple, Kyoto

Across the street from Ryoanji Temple, a small Japanese cafe is tucked away in the greenery just south of a torii gate.

Outside of the cafe is a signboard and a Japanese garden umbrella and a bench or two.

What really draws in the customers though is the soft tinkle of koto music that bathes the surrounding area.

The thrum of traffic running on Kanko Doro can be heard in the distance.
