Recorded Tour at Tojiin Temple

A peaceful winter morning.

After slipping off my shoes, stepping up into the temple and paying, the ancient priest bids me to go forth.

Tojiin Temple was created in 1338. It was the ancestral temple of the Ashikaga family.

Alone in the temple but for the priest and elderly gardener.

My footsteps squeak on the planks of the floorboards. And then it starts. My own personal piped-in tour guide.
