Osaka Hotel Accommodation

Hotels in Osaka are mainly concentrated in the area around Umeda Station, Namba Station and the entertainment district of Shinsaibashi.

All three places easily connect on the Midosuji Line of the Osaka subway with the Shinkansen stop at Shin-Osaka Station to the north.

Umeda Station is a large business center with a number of underground malls, the Hankyu Department Store, Yodobashi Camera, the HEP Five Building and the Umeda Sky Building all close by. There are also hundreds of restaurants, bars and cafes in this area known as "Kita" or North.

Shinsaibashi and Namba known as "Minami" or South is Osaka's main shopping and entertainments area, which is particularly lively at night. Midosuji Dori is the main street, with the youth fashion area of Amerika-mura to the south west of Shinsaibashi Station and the electronics mecca of Den-Den Town to the east of Nankai Namba Station. The east-west Dotombori Canal separates the two areas of Shinsaibashi and Namba.

Another cluster of hotels surrounds Tennoji Station to the south, which is handy for trains to Kansai International Airport (KIX).

There are also accommodation options at KIX itself, if you have a short stop-over.
