JR Osaka Loop Line 大阪環状線

JR Osaka Loop Line.

Japan Rail's loop line in Osaka, like the Yamanote Line in Tokyo is one of the city's main rail transport arteries, connecting with many suburban and inter-city railways, to places such as Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and Nagoya.

The Osaka Loop Line (Kanjo-sen) runs both clockwise and counter-clockwise around the center of Osaka city.

On average, two trains leave Osaka Station to the north and Tennoji Station in the south approximately every seven minutes, running in opposite directions.

The trains are often a distinctive orange color but newer trains are silver.

JR tickets from places outside Osaka remain valid to any destination on the Osaka Loop Line.

There are 19 stations on the Osaka Loop Line, 7 of which do not connect to other lines.
