The Korean currency is the South Korean Won. The following banks have international ATMs in Seoul and Busan and other major cities and have foreign exchange services for travellers' cheques:

ATMs can also be found in most subway stations in Seoul. Look out for the Hannet sign. Hannet accepts Mastercard, Maestro, Cirrus, JCB, American Express, Visa, Plus, Visa Electron & Diners Club.

Korea's 10 World Cup stadium venues all have ATMs for Mastercard.
