Located in Arashiyama along the Katsura River, Kitcho Arashiyama is about as famous a restaurant as any in Japan.
Kitcho is housed in a 100 year-old building and has seven, beautiful rooms.
All rooms face a traditional Japanese garden.
The current head chef, Kunio Tokuoka, is the third-generation of his family to lead the restaurant.

Kitcho Arashiyama Access
Kitcho Arashiyama is on the Katsura River in Arashiyama, Kyoto near Tenryuji Temple - a UNESCO World Heritage Listed site.
Kitcho Arashiyama is a ten-minute walk from the Arashiyama (the final) station on the Keifuku Line from Shijo Omiya and Kitano Hakubaicho Station. Alternatively, the restaurant is 20 minutes from JR Saga Arashiyama Station, 15 minutes from Arashiyama Station on the Hankyu Arashiyama Line or around 40 minutes by taxi from Kyoto Station.
